Het Koksgilde Nationaal Team neemt van dinsdag 1 tot en met zaterdag 5 september deel aan de Asia Culinairy Cup in het Thaise Bangkok.
Daar zijn dan wedstrijden in verschillende klassen die worden gehouden onder auspiciën van de World Association of Chefs Societies, de wereldorganisatie van koks.
À la minute
Het Koksgilde Nationaal Team doet donderdag 3 september mee aan het maken van een koud showbuffet van drie bij vier meter. Er wordt dan à la minute gekookt: salades, paté’s, finfgerfood , diverse hoofd- en nagerechten en taarten moeten ter plekke gemaakt worden. Dat is afwijkend van de normale, internationale wedstrijden waarbij veel gerechten voorbereid kunnen worden.

De teamleden die deelnemen zijn: Waldrik Kremer (chef d’équipe, W&G groep Hollands Wildhuis, Best), Ron Merks (chef de cuisine Sodexo, Zeist), Wim Klerks (chef de cuisine Restaurant Les Jumeaux, Bennebroek), Guido Panjer (Docent R.O.C Friesland College, Leeuwarden), Jurgens Koens (chef patissier, Maison van den Boer, Veghel), Tom van Woerkum (chef patissier, Sofitel Cogagne, Eindhoven), Peter Bakker (chef de cuisine, Peter Bakker Horeca Advies, Maarssen), Marcel de Leeuw (chef de cuisine, Bilderberg Garden Hortel, restaurant de Kersentuin, Amsterdam) en Wynand Vogel (chef de mission, Wynand Culinair, Blokker).
De deelname aan de Asia Culinairy Cup wordt mede mogelijk gemaakt door Deli XL, VanDrie Group, Wüsthof, Chaud Devant, Koppert Cress, Olivier/Figgio.
